Opus Magazine

Opus Magazine is the only student-run publication at the University of Newcastle. It is published by the Newcastle University Students’ Association (NUSA), the peak body of student representation at the University. Established in 1954, Opus has been at the forefront of student advocacy for decades, and has given students at the University of Newcastle a platform to speak about issues important to them through the anti-war era, the sexual revolution, and the rise of neoliberalism. Opus has never shied away from covering issues that affect students, and has traditionally brought the fight to the University to ensure the fair and ethical treatment of students. Despite a recent hiatus, Opus is getting back on its feet and is prepared to resume its role as the true voice of students at the University of Newcastle.
